Page 2: BASIC OPERATIONS |
BASIC OPERATIONS It's easy to resize and reshape it all the way you want. For example, let's take this bird from our "Wild Animals" clipart set:
Click on it once in order to select the vector object.
Drag one of the black rectangles and move it to any direction. See the bird reshaping without any loss in quality.
Copy the object several times (CTRL + D) and play some with it.
Again - we used Corel Draw for this but you can do the same with Adobe Illustrator or any other quality design software. Now click on the object twice and try to rotate and skew the object. It's easy as 1-2-3.
It allows you to edit the vector art. Click on bird, then click on the tool (or press F10). Notice the nodes encircled with red. They allow you to do much more complicated editing than a simple reshaping or skewing is.
Now drag the node at the end of the beak and move it some downwards. Now the beak is longer but the general shape of the bird remains the same.
The lines in between the nodes are editable too. Play some with them, then doubleclick a line at any spot. A new node will appear. We doubleclicked the top line:
Add some more nodes and try to draw the wings. Now it looks more like a hawk attacking its prey.
Somewhat fat for a hawk :-) but this was an exercise anyway. Now let's add some color to our vector drawings... |
